Ashtanga Yoga:The first series is called "yoga chikestha" which means yoga treatment. It works on the organs inside body and it makes all the body's nerves active.The second series continues activating the nerve system, it also cleanses the lungs and enhances the five senses. "Mysore Style" is the term used for an Ashtanga class that is practiced at one's own pace. Each person moves with their own breath, counting five breathes for each posture. Every student will do the series that they are working on individually. The Ashtanga teacher gives adjusments and minimal instruction through the first and second series. |
